Spokane is the commercial center of the Inland Northwest, surrounded by the wheat country of the Palouse and connected to everything by I-90 and rail. Buildings here serve grain and equipment storage on the farm side and warehousing, manufacturing and fleet shops on the city side, all of it under real winter snow.
